No1. Rhubarb Lane 60% Sold On Release
The first building of the Rhubarb Lane development, No.1 Rhubarb Lane, designed by New Zealand born Ian Moore Architects and presented by Multiplex Living is 60% sold following the exclusive launch held over the weekend.
In the first stage release, seven of the twelve freehold ‘aPod& loft-style live/work spaces, priced from $699,000 to $1.035m, have been purchased. In all there will be six unique buildings in Rhubarb Lane, each by a different, internationally renowned architect.
“The response we have received for the first release at Rhubarb Lane has been exceptional, and we anticipate demand for Building One to outstrip supply†said Tim Willing, Multiplex Living Director of Sales and Marketing.
The spaces still available in Building One are 86sqm to 131sqm and priced from $699,000 including car parking and GST, (commercial buyers can claim back the GST component). Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Ian Moore, the spaces are perfect for a range of business uses or residential homes or a combination of both.
“The opportunity was presented at an exclusive launch on Thursday night, with sales commencing on Friday. Guests heard the vision for Rhubarb Lane and what will become a vibrant urban village within Auckland&s Victoria Quarter. Those who have purchased recognise the timing is right for what is an exceptional investment opportunity quite unlike anything Auckland has seen to date,†he added.
“Rhubarb Lane is a compelling property and lifestyle offer that brings an international dynamic to a local market,†he said. “And buyers have proven they are excited by the unique live and work options on offer,†said Mr Willing.
Interested parties paid a refundable $2,000 to secure the opportunity to be amongst the first to view the plans prior to public release. The Expression of Interest approach allows buyers a private and exclusive opportunity to select their preferred space prior to the public release. A refundable $2000 fee is payable.
Rhubarb Lane is a deeply considered and superbly designed mixed-use creative village, set in the heart of Auckland CBD&s historic Victoria Quarter, offering flexible live/work loft-style spaces over a thriving cobblestone street of boutiques, restaurants and provedores.
The Victoria Quarter is the vibrant home to some of Auckland&s most celebrated bars and restaurants and a hub for leading business to enjoy their creative individuality. Only a short walk from the CBD centre and yet with the lush open spaces of Victoria Park at its feet, the area offers unmatched opportunities to live, work and play, with unrivalled proximity and access to the motorway network and public transport.
Multiplex Living expects to announce the next stage to be released to the market in late May and construction at Rhubarb Lane is expected to begin in early 2011.
