After a very busy and delicious 4 days at Victoria Park, we emerge at the other end of Taste of New Zealand a happy and full bunch. Opening night was a little damp but then the weather made an about face and produced some gorgeous sunny days which saw thousands of Nationals and International foodies experience the best in food, wine and produce our country has to offer.
Taste of New Zealand was such an incredible event and the only place to sample so much of New Zealand’s fantastic cuisine all in one location, we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Crayfish In The Park
Oct 19th
This morning we snapped a quick pic of The Grove‘s head chef Ben Bayly with some of his Karitane Crayfish. The crayfish will be the main feature of one of The Grove’s dishes at Taste of New Zealand (kicking off this evening!), cooked with Cafe de Paris, butter, lemon and Vivian Salad – delicious! There are limited numbers of the Crayfish dish so make sure you get in early. If you miss out, there are plenty of other mouth watering dishes from any of the other restaurants, for more info on the menus click here.
Looking Very Tasty
Oct 18th
Victoria Park currently has almost as many trucks on site as marquees, delivering all the awnings, stove tops, bars, staging and flooring tiles in preparation for the big launch of Taste of New Zealand tomorrow 5:30pm. As well as the multitude of chattels, don’t forget the massive amount of cutlery, plates, napkins and glassware that will be needed to serve the masses this weekend! Boxes of the stuff, so much so a forklift is needed to lift all the forks.
Pitching a Tent… Or 50.

Movember – Face Grown, Hand Brushed
Oct 11th
Moustache Season is almost upon us – Movember is gearing up for another Mo-mentous campaign and we hope this year you’ll be coming along for the ride!
Last year New Zealand raised just shy of $1 million in 2010 with 9,500 registrations and are busy putting together plans for this year’s campaign which gives the nod to the Country Gentleman. Participation is integral to Movember successfully continuing its journey and this is where we hope you will join in.
Kiwi comedian Jan Maree is onboard as a Mo Sista Ambassador this year and delivers some words of encouragement and wisdom in this videMo.
