One of our projects this year was helping to get Big Boys Toys back on the entertainment calendar for Auckland.
We wanted to get the event back in front of the media and remind them why this was one of the big, fun events of the year. So we pulled together a media launch, showcasing some of the best features and attractions.

Success Is Sweet for Suite Bar

One of Auckland’s smallest bars is punching well above its weight, with Suite Bar being awarded Hospitality New Zealand’s Best Bar for 2011.
Tucked away in the basement of a heritage building at 2 Hobson Street in Auckland’s CBD, Suite Bar has been delighting patrons with delicious cocktails and slick service for the past six years, gaining a swag of awards along the way.
Owner-operator David Hawk says that the bar has a philosophy for being at the forefront of trends and having the bravery to break new ground.
“Suite has been a pioneer of the resurgence in New Zealand’s cocktail culture,” says Hawk. “We’re delighted to gain this recognition, despite being a very small player in theNew Zealandbar scene,” he said.

The Matterhorn team have decided to take this innovative approach with a new cocktail-matched degustation, known simply as The Deg, offering what they believe is a national first.
While the seven course meal has a wine-match option for those who prefer it, Head Chef Dave Verheul is hoping that guests will enjoy the journey through an exciting and sometimes surprising menu of dishes with the added taste sensation of a carefully designed cocktail. Each cocktail was designed by renowned Matterhorn mixologists, Riki Carter and Claire Harlick, who worked in partnership with the Chef.

Moustache Season has come to a close for 2011 and with that, the upper lips of over 850,000 participants across the world have left the wilds of Movember and returned to smoother ground. New Zealand has had a fantastic campaign and looks set to raise close to $1.4 Million generated by 13,141 Mo Bros and Sistas.

Canterbury Movember Rugby Jerseys a Hit!

The Canterbury of New Zealand Movember 'North Vs South' Jersey's.
Canterbury’s Movember Rugby jerseys black (North) vs white (South) Canterbury of New Zealand jumped onboard the Mo Train this year, supporting Movember to raise vital funds and awareness for the Cancer Society and Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
Produced especially for the Movember North vs South Rugby Match, this fantastic strip was worn with pride by the players of the inaugural Movember North Island vs South Island Rugby Match.
Past and present sporting faces clashed on the turf raising much needed funds for the Cancer Society and Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
Scott Stevenson took coaching responsibility for the North while legendary sports commentator John McBeth led the South.
League players Monty Betham and Wairangi Koopu changed codes for the day while Matt Watson, broadcaster Jay Reeve and top surfer Maz Quinn also laced up their boots for the cause. Ex Black Fern Anna Richards also had a run on the paddock, just to show up the boys.
